About the Artist Tim Fisher Artist Statement and History of Exhibitions Artistic inspiration comes from many places. I believe that most artistic inspiration -- the need to create -- comes from within. Every artist has a muse or an image that speaks to them and allows them to create a personal language. My image is the sky – with the power and spirit that it possesses. In my travels, I have encountered many places where the sky seems to envelop me. These places are my sources of inspiration. They provide the basis for my artistic vocabulary. Like many artists I have tried to paint the landscape, but I was never satisfied with the results. It wasn’t until turning my focus and energy skyward that I was able to achieve a personal satisfaction with my work. Though the paintings are inspired by specific places, my goal is to have you, the viewer, create your own personal connection to my work by remembering a time and place where the sky was significant to you.
